Event Producer
Developing and managing the event (pre-production)
Event production includes: -
• Project management developing and managing pre-production schedules, timelines and planning documents for an event
• Creating and managing event budgets, which reflect the schedules and timelines, to ensure event is delivered on time and on budget
• Establishing KPIs to measure success of an event
• Venue sourcing appropriate to the event brief
• Managing the technical requirements of the project and technical suppliers both pre-event and on-site
• Working as part of an event team and/or managing the team
• Problem solving
• Attending regular update meetings with internal event owners

Content Producer
Creating the event (pre-production)
Content production includes: -
• Creating briefing documents for speaker and contributors
• Researching potential speakers and contributors
• Creating agendas for event days
• Formulating delivery methods for the event – keynote presentations, panel discussions, delegate interaction, break-out sessions
• Developing and managing content software development and management including speaker support and video material
• Briefing speakers, managing technical requirements and related speaker logistics
• Managing pre-event off-site rehearsals for speakers, including speaker training as required
• Creating technical running orders for the event
• Developing delegate pre-communications for the event
• Creating delegate engagement for the event
• On-site rehearsal scheduling

On-site Producer and Show Caller
Delivering the event (on-site production)
On-site production includes: -
• Hands-on management to ensure a smooth running of the agenda and an excellent delivery of the event and all associated logistics
• Managing set-up (rig) and break down (de-rig) with the production manager and technical suppliers
• Co-ordinating and managing speaker rehearsals and stage familiarisation
• Directing presenters and managing the technical crew
• Show Calling (making sure all the technical aspects of a presentation happen at the right time)
• Stage management

Post event
Managing the event (post-production)
Post-production includes: -
• Any post-event video creation
• Distribution and archiving of event content
• Budget reconciliation
• Delegate feedback co-ordination and data interpretation
• Event evaluation and KPI review
• De-brief with internal event owners

Each event is different and my role as a Freelance Conference and Event Producer can encompass all, some or just one of the skills detailed
